Marty Achatz

served two terms as U. P. Poet Laureate, traveling across the Upper Peninsula from the Keweenaw to Sault Ste. Marie to promote poetry in schools, libraries, and arts organizations.  As Poet Laureate, he also raised thousands of dollars for charitable causes, including Room at the Inn and the Keweenaw Flood Relief.  Martin works for Peter White Public Library as Adult Programming Coordinator and teaches in NMU’s English Department.  He recently released a spoken word album, Slow Dancing with Bigfoot, with the band STREAKING IN TONGUES, which is available on all streaming platforms and in CD format.


A. Lynn Blumer

lives in Marquette, MI where she enjoys the outdoors and being involved in her local poetry scene. She works with two non-profits, mills wood for money-needs, and spends her free time writing and printing zines as Pyre Publishing. Her personal work has appeared in Maiden Voyage by Gordon Publications, Horror Sleeze Trash: Poems and their anthology Prose in Poor Taste, Paper and Ink Literary Zine: Issue 16, as well as online with Cephalo Press. Lisa Fosmo

is a poet from Escanaba MI. She is a member of The Michigan Poetry Society, and a member of The Marquette Poetry Circle. Her poetry has been published in, The Walloon Writers Review, The poetry Society of Michigan’s five year anthology. Rocky Mountain Musings, and represented the USA in the Bangladesh Star international poetry addition. She was a winner of The Susan Lane Foundation’s Heritage Haiku contest. Lisa was a featured poet and workshop conductor at the annual Ziggies Poetry Festival, Denver CO. She is a current judge for the National Federation of States Poetry Society National poetry contest. In her spare time Lisa enjoys time in nature, and advocating for native bees and safe habitat.


Bob Polzin

is a knotted worm, greasing himself in expression that he might someday find his full length. The soil of Marquette is sweet to him and there he remains.


Janeen Pergrin Rastall

is the author of In the Yellowed House (dancing girl press, 2014), Objects May Appear Closer (Celery City Chapbooks, 2015) and co-author of Heart Radicals: Love Poems 2nd Edition (About Editions, 2018) and True Companions (Gordon Publications, 2017). Her poems have been published in Atticus Review, The Fourth River, North Dakota Quarterly, and The Raleigh Review. She has been nominated for Best of the Net Awards and Pushcart Prizes.


Josh Reinaas

was born in Ladysmith, WI, grew up in Negaunee, MI and is now a long time resident of Marquette, MI. With a history of membership on the US National Luge Team and The MI National Guards; Josh is now currently a butcher, amature thespian, disc golfer (w/ Team Rise Above) and full time father. He has been previously published in [sic] and Pyre. You can see Josh as General Harrison in Kiss Me Kate this August.


Dylan T. Taylor

Lena Maude Wilson

is a singer songwriter performing both finger-style guitar folk and experimental, folktronica songs. She utilizes a looping pedal for overdubbing and creating compositions ranging from soothing to cacophonous. A dabbling wordsmith, Lena's lyrics are tangled, poetic, and booky - often inspired by interest in mythology, psychology, philosophy, and a paradisiacal natural life.
